Kraken has announced the closure of its NFT marketplace in order to allocate resources towards upcoming projects. As of November 27, 2024, users will no longer be able to list, bid, or sell NFTs on the platform, and the marketplace will be completely shut down on February 27, 2025.
According to a Kraken representative, the decision was made to focus on developing new products and services, including undisclosed projects currently in progress. Kraken initially announced the launch of its NFT marketplace in December 2021, with the beta version becoming available by November 2022.
Clients have been informed about the changes and the Kraken team will assist them in transferring their NFTs to either their Kraken Wallet or a self-custodial wallet of their choosing.
