According to a statement from Crypto.com, the company has been granted a license to issue Mastercard-powered cards.
This new program, revealed on Wednesday (Dec. 4), will allow Crypto.com to launch a card in Bahrain that can be used at over 150 million locations, both in-store and online, worldwide. Users can easily add funds to their card through the Crypto.com app using various methods, such as e-money wallets or third-party credit and debit cards.
The new card will be available for all five tiers of the Crypto.com card program, including its highest tier Black Obsidian, which offers up to 8% rewards on purchases and will be denominated in USD.
This partnership marks an important milestone for Crypto.com as it continues to expand its card program, providing more opportunities for customers to use their cryptocurrency assets in everyday transactions.
The initial launch will be in Bahrain, followed by other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, such as Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
