DZ Bank to Allow its Clients Invest in Crypto

In February 2023, DZ Bank, one of the largest banks in Germany, announced the launch of a new platform for digital currency investing for institutional investors.

According to Bloomberg, the platform is expected to be operational by 2024. DZ Bank includes over 700 banks within its structure, and they will soon begin testing the platform with oversight from the central office.

According to Souad Benkredda, a representative of DZ Bank’s board, the platform will allow the bank’s corporate clients to invest in a variety of digital assets, including Bitcoin and other altcoins. However, clients will be responsible for making their own investment decisions, as the bank will not be providing any investment advice.

The platform will simply provide a means for investment companies and funds to buy and sell BTC and other cryptocurrencies. DZ Bank has partnered with Swiss company Metaco and the Harmonize platform for this project.
