US Senate Banking Committee member Elizabeth Warren has recently compared the digital asset market to the 2008 economic crisis in an interview with NBC, CoinDesk reports. She has explained:
“The whole digital world is like a bubble. What is the basis of his growth? People tell each other that everything will be fine, as it was with the real estate market.”
According to her, people were confident in the eternal growth of real estate before the market crash in 2008.
She has also suggested the Federal Reserve speed up the development of a digital dollar. Warren believes central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) will help central banks improve the situation in the digital segment of the financial market.
The senator has added that Bitcoin will sooner or later be regulated by the authorities.
