Binance.US has raised $200 million in a venture capital funding seed round. As a result, the Binance.US valuation has hit $4.5B.
The funds have been provided by RRE Ventures, Foundation Capital, Original Capital, VanEck, Circle Ventures, Gaingels, Gold House and other investors.
The funds raised will be used to develop the spot trading platform, expand the range of products and services in the near term as well as marketing and educational initiatives.
The company’s plans to raise funding were reported to the media in September 2021. The round was expected to raise the valuation to $3 billion.
In November, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao confirmed the US division could raise “a couple of hundred million dollars.”
