In spite of the bearish trend prevailing in the digital asset market, crypto and blockchain startups have managed to attract a record high amount of investment in the first quarter of 2022.
According to Fortune, from January 1 to April 12, investors invested $ 11.65 billion in crypto-related companies. This indicator exceeds the volume of investments received by firms for all previous years, with the sole exception of 2021.
Yuga Labs, the creator of the NFT collection BAYC, was on the first line in terms of the amount of capital investments raised. In March, $450 million was invested in the organization. The second line in terms of the amount of funds received was shared by crypto exchange FTX and Circle, the issuer of the USD Coin (USDC). These companies have invested $400 million each.
The list of the largest investors include venture funds Andreessen Horowitz and FTX Ventures.
