On April 23, the computing power that ensures the confirmation of transactions and the operation of the Bitcoin (BTC) network reached an all-time high level of 271.19 Ex/s, which is approximately 271,190 petahesh per second.
In its entire history, the Bitcoin hashrate has not risen above this mark, and compared to the hashrate on block 717,696 mined on January 8, 2022, its current indicator has increased 5%. The previous maximum computing power supporting the bitcoin network, equal to 246 Ex/s, was recorded last February 12.
After changing the algorithm for adjusting the complexity on block 7З1 808, as a result of which the complexity decreased by 1.26%, it is expected that after about three days it will increase, probably 2%.
In this case, the complexity of the Bitcoin network will rise from the current 28.23 trillion to a record 29.13 trillion.
