Tether, issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has issued tokens based on Polkadot. The USDT issuer has noted Polkadot is one of the most popular ecosystems on which Web3 projects are based.
In order to empower their users, Tether has decided to issue stablecoins on this blockchain.
According to Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino, the launch of USDT on Polkadot will contribute to the development of this network.
He has noted:
“We are excited to release USDT and offer the community access to the most liquid and secure coin. Polkadot has seen good growth this year and we believe the launch of Tether will help this project thrive.
