Strike Raises $80M from Ten31 and Other Investors

Strike, a Lightning Network-based payment application operator, has closed an $80 million Series B funding round.

According to a press release, Ten31 venture company has acted as the lead investor. Funding was also provided by Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Wyoming.

The funds raised by the Strike team will be used to expand partnerships, scale the business and support efforts to improve payments.

In particular, the operator plans to release a new product line and develop a commercial API. The latter is already integrated by platforms such as Blackhawk, NCR and Shopify.
