Société Générale Announces it Will Provide Crypto Custody Services

The French Financial Market Authority (AMF) has granted Société Générale, which has been interested in blockchain technology for the past few years, a license to deal with digital currencies.

Industry research and service development is carried out by a special division of Forge Bank. Now it will begin to provide services for the storage and exchange of cryptocurrencies.

Société Générale has joined forces with the Metaco team, which is involved in expanding the infrastructure for digital asset transactions.

France has a licensing mechanism for crypto companies. The AMF registers them as intermediaries when working with cryptocurrencies (DASP).

Voyager, Bitpanda, Binance and Etoro have already completed such registration.
